Federation chosen for prestigious leadership program
The Jewish Community Voice, the newspaper of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, mentioned that Mekor Habracha has been accepted into the second cohort of the Legacy Heritage OnBoard Program:
The Jewish Federation is excited to announce its acceptance into the second cohort of the Legacy Heritage OnBoard Program, which focuses on the development and strengthening of the board members nominated into the program. It prepares them to become leaders who will shepherd Jewish communal organizations over the coming decades. The second cohort of OnBoard is based in the greater Philadelphia region and begins this Sunday, Mar. 6. The programming will continue through June 2017 and includes a mission trip to Israel in February 2017.
Our two board members participating in this program are Matthew Podolnick and Melissa Grossman, both new additions to the Federation board this year. We look forward to hearing more from them as this program progresses and particularly about their mission to Israel next year!
Also participating from our South Jersey Jewish community are Politz Day School and Temple Beth Sholom, and from the greater Philadelphia region are: Camp Ramah in the Poconos, Congregation Beth Israel of Media, Habonim Dror Camp Galil, Hillel at Temple University, Jewish Family Service of Lehigh Valley, Jewish Learning Venture, Mekor Habracha/Center City Synagogue, Mishkan Shalom, Perelman Jewish Day School, Shir Ami, Temple Adath Israel, Torah Academy of Greater Philadelphia, and URJ Camp Harlam.
